This box is quite special. I was made for an exchange student - Anna Wallis - from Brisbane, Australia who remembers a good time in Randers, Denmark by this inlay. Randers is marked with a mother of pearl dot - Denmark is cut in sycamore veneer laid into the dark wengee veneer. |
H. C. Andersen's tale of the Princess on the Pea showing the pea! By the way: we made a a couple of variations of this box using different veneers - showing the essence of using wood as colouring material for this kind of art. |
