Intarsia is Italian and means "inlaid work". Intarsia inlays are typically made with wood veneer motives and patterns laid into a base veneer. The inlays may also be other materials like metal, ebony and more. See under marquetry works.
Like any other hight quality production the preparations before the work itself are very important. Further you must posess an extensive stock of veneers in types and colours. Last but not least you need the personal patience and skill to transfer the original idea into a high class piece of art. The pieces we make may be used for any purpose where you want to decorate in wood, new and old - big and small. |

| Marquetry
work
The marquetry work is the inlay work of various materials and adaptation of inlaid works into other materials. We use the old techniques for our own marquetry works. The techniques go hand in hand with the intarsia works. We may use metal like brass or silver, mother of pearl or other hard materials. Only very few companies in Northern Europe master the original marquetry techniques. We can manufacture in many types of wood veneer. However, with relation to the more special types it is important to state the fact that we are not always able to make larger series using exactly the same veneer. | |
